Determining Which Of The Two Undergraduate Rate Schedules Applies To You

Rate Schedule 1:  Students Admitted Since Fall Term, 2004
This rate schedule applies to a student who was admitted in, or after, Fall Term, 2004. Students
for whom this rate schedule applies — First-Time Student and Readmitted Student — are described as follows:

First-Time Student:
A student who enrolls at the University of Pittsburgh for the first time, beginning with Fall Term, 2004, or in any term thereafter, either as a freshman or as a transfer from another institution of higher education.

A student admitted to one of the University of Pittsburgh's regional campuses prior to Fall Term, 2004, who then subsequently transfers — in any term thereafter — from that regional campus to the Pittsburgh campus, is considered to be a first-time student at the Pittsburgh campus.

Also, a student admitted to the Pittsburgh campus prior to Fall Term, 2004, who then subsequently transfers — in any term thereafter — from the Pittsburgh campus to a regional campus, is considered to be a first-time student at that regional campus.

Readmitted Student:
A student who has been inactive for the most recent three (or more) consecutive terms at the University of Pittsburgh and would need to reapply for admission.

A student who, though admitted prior to Fall Term, 2004, had not been enrolled in either of the three terms in Academic Year 2003-04, and would, therefore, need to reapply for admission.

Rate Schedule 2:  Students Admitted Prior to Fall Term, 2004
This rate schedule applies to a student who was admitted prior to Fall Term, 2004 and had enrolled in either the fall, spring, or summer terms of Academic Year 2003-04. For this rate schedule to remain applicable to this student, his or her enrollment status cannot become inactive, otherwise, the rate schedule "Students Admitted Since Fall Term, 2004" (specifically, see "Readmitted Student") becomes applicable.
