The graduation rate at the Pittsburgh Campus of the University of Pittsburgh, calculated according to U.S. Department of Education guidelines, is 71%.

This Student Right-to-Know (SRTK) Graduation Rate is described as follows:

It is based upon students who entered as full-time, first-time freshmen and graduated within 150% of the length of their program. For example, in regards to baccalaureate-seeking freshmen, this 150% measure describes students graduating from a four-year program within six years.

It is an average of the graduation rates of four freshman classes, with these being the most recent four classes for which the above 150% measure can be determined.


Specifically, in regards to the SRTK graduation rate of 71%, it is based upon freshmen who entered in the fall terms of 1998,1999, 2000, and 2001, with the 150% measure calculated in 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007, respectively.

The SRTK Graduation Rate is an average of the graduation rates of the four, above-referenced freshman classes.  In regards to the last of these four classes, that is, baccalaureate-seeking freshmen entering in Fall 2001, the six-year graduation rate of this particular freshman class is 75%.
